I grew up in Southern California and have been collecting reggae music since I was 12. I started DJing professionally when I was 18 and started my radio career here on Kauaʻi in 1994 with KUAI 720AM (when it was in Eleʻele – now part of Pacific Media Group and sister station of HI95) with a show called “The Kauaʻi Reggae Show” from 6-9 pm on Friday nights. I did that show for about 6 years, then I moved to KONG 93.5FM (also now part of Pacific Media Group) and did a show called “Island Jams” on Saturday nights 10pm-1am.
In 2012 I had a daughter and moved back to Southern California for 7 years (until 2019). It’s been almost 5 years since I moved back to Kauaʻi, and now we now have “Island Jams” on Saturday Nights from 8-11pm right here on HI95. I am a big-time vinyl collector and I have a deep reggae collection specializing in the real Jamaican sound. I also have promoted and produced my own reggae concerts and events here on the Garden Island.
On my time off from doing radio, I enjoy this amazing island by surfing, camping, swimming in the river, bike riding, and sharing the Aloha with all the wonderful people of Kauaʻi. I also enjoy raising my daughter part-time here on Kauaʻi and having her guest DJ on my show when she is here on Island.
